Corey Lien

DOMI Co-Founder & Chief Gardener
Co-Chairman & Co-Founder, Asia-Pacific B-Corp Association (APBCA)

A serial entrepreneur and investor, Corey Lien has developed wide-ranging business expertise, having bought, built, and sold companies in industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to fashion. Today, he is Taiwan’s leader in the growing field of enterprise for social benefit.

After becoming a father of three girls, Corey realized the need for individuals to take action to protect the environment and combat climate change. Together with his wife Tammy, Corey started DOMI where he serves as “Chief Gardener.” His team at DOMI engages businesses, schools, government, families, and individuals with simple, effective solutions to save energy and promote environmental justice.

Built on a mandate of doing well by doing good, DOMI won Taiwan’s first B-Corp certification, joining a worldwide network of companies generating shared value for people and planet. For each of the last two years, in 2015 and 2016, DOMI has been included in B Lab’s Best for the World awards.

Seeing the need for a deepening of social business in his home country, Corey co-founded the Asia Pacific B Corp Association (APBCA) and launched an official B Lab branch in Taiwan. With this organization in place, Taiwan is quickly becoming a hub for social enterprise throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Corey also shares what he knows with Taiwan’s students. He is an adjunct assistant professor of Public Policy at Feng Chia University and lectures at National Taiwan University, teaching social innovation and public policy, the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and systems change.

Before returning to Taiwan, Corey earned a degree in Bioscience from the University of Alberta in Canada, a degree in Fashion from Domus Academy of Design in Milan, Italy, and an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
