Put the reality back in virtual reality. Use social, mobile, augmented, and intelligent experiences to help everybody save the world from climate change.
DOMI Earth is the only social enterprise that’s tackling climate change by going after everyone. We coach, nudge, persuade, inspire, and generally do anything in our power to get people to take those simple actions we all know we need.
Over last three years, we’ve met people where they meet each other. We’ve become experts in convening all different types of people, tapping into individual passions and leveraging the collective effect that happens when people connect with one another over something meaningful. At the end, we back up those experiences up with products and services that eliminate the friction between an individual considering action and actually doing something.
As a company we use the “mandate” of business – the need for financial sustainability – to chase solutions based on superior outcomes and maintain an unrelenting focus on creating value for customers. Maybe you’ve heard of B2B or B2B2C business. Well, we’re B2B&G2C2E(arth)!
The time has come for DOMI to translate all that we have learned over three years of events, consulting, storybook writing, branding, and marketing into a solution that can scale the world over.
It may sound complicated, but that’s our job! We deal with the mess so that our customers can have fun and take pride in making our planet a better place.
What you’ll do:
Unleash your coding and development skills to create the platform and web apps that will move people from awareness to action and further, to become climate changemakers. Work closely with our front-end developer to create apps for consumers, dashboards for organizational users, and administrative controls that make it easy for our team to assess our performance.
How you’ll do it:
Work independently in a hybrid project-manager/developer role
Develop front-end web experiences using PHP and MySql
Develop back-end components
Assist the product team in developing project requirements and specifications
We think you’d be great at this if:
You have five or more years of relevant experience including web or software programming and engineering experience
You are able to work independently and possess strong teamwork and communication skills
You’re able to deliver functions on-time and maintain high-quality standards under pressure
You’re proficient in English and can communicate directly with foreign suppliers, partners, and customers
We’d love it if:
You could send us a link to any previous work developed in PHP.
Cool? Cool. Let’s do this.
Consider this your opportunity to unlock your passion for making the world a better place. We’ll give you the tools, flexibility, and support you need to lead in this, the greatest challenge of our generation(s).
We work out of Taipei City and pay in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD). We speak both Chinese and English and we welcome you to engage us in either.
